    Sounds great, but I think the recorder leaves the Hi Hat is way low in mix. I'll probably return mine unless I can find an answer.

      Interesting. I purposely work on trying to balance my sound, so that the hi hat is a bit softer than the snare and bass drum. You could try lowering the kick drum trigger.

    Thanks for posting! I’ve been debating whether to buy a set of drum mics for smallish gigs versus just using my EAD10. Sounds like you’ve had good experiences using the EAD10 as your mic setup on gigs? Is that that the only mic you’ve used when you’ve done this?

    • @bshubo
      @bshubo 5 місяців тому

      yes that's the only mic- you can adjust the sensitivity on the bass drum trigger to better balance thge kit if needed- live drums usually heard on their own in most mid sized rooms plus othe band mics always pick up some drums - i love the reverb and compressor options too -

      I can give 1/4" cables - left and right back of the EAD10 have 1/4" outs - you can also just send 1 cable and it would be mono- most sound boards have 1/4" line in- like plugging in a guitar cable

    • @bshubo
      @bshubo Рік тому

      1/4" cables out of the EAD10 L&R for stereo or just one 1/4" for mono (which i use often) and it goes directly into a channel on the mixer- as would any other instrument. some digital mixers only have XLR inputs in which case you would need a direct box which many sound people carry with them.

I have an overhead mic, but the sound guys that I work with don't do a very good job all the time. Sometimes they don't turn my drums up in the mix loud enough, which is why I am scared to get the Yamaha ead10.
